Pumps and Motors

The pump is probably the most important and least understood component in the hydraulic system. Its function is to convert mechanical energy to hydraulic energy by pushing the hydraulic fluid into the system. Pumps are made in many sizes and shapes. To drive the pump, an electric motor or engine is used. Motor a device which converts hydraulic fluid power into mechanical force and motion. It usually provides rotary mechanical motion.
